►Projects and events of young researchers throughout the day at Plaza Nueva in Bilbao

►Will be presented on April 20, at 11 am, in the Press Room of the City of Bilbao,

This year's Zientzia Azoka comes with a complete program. From 12 noon to 8 pm, young researchers will present research and technological projects developed during the course at Plaza Nueva. Thus, almost a hundred groups of young people aged between 12 and 18 take part in their work.

In addition, all attendees can enjoy shows and scientific experiments. In the end, there will be a recognition of the work done, in which some groups can attend other national and foreign fairs.

On 20 April at 11:00 am, in the press room of the City Council, Begoña Garamendi Ibarra, Director of Educational Innovation of the Department of Education, Linguistic Policy and Culture of the Basque Government; Koldo Narbaiza Olaskoaga, Councillor for Basque Country and Education of the City of Bilbao; and Leire Cancio Orueta.

It should be noted that the Zientzia Azoka, organized by Elhuyar, is held in collaboration with the Basque Science and Technology Network. Young people are assisted by researchers from UPV/EHU, Mondragon Unibertsitatea, Public University of Navarra and University of Deusto.

The main objective of this initiative, which is funded by the following entities: Bilbao City Council, Department of Education, Linguistic Policy and Culture of the Basque Government, Iberdrola, Euskaltel, Visiontech4Life Consortium, Provincial Council of Bizkaia and FECYT (Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology).

As a sign of this support, all the sponsors and collaborators of the Zientzia Azoka will be at the opening, at 12:00 hours in the Plaza Nueva in Bilbao.
