These workshops, led by renowned researchers and professionals, aim to awaken among young people the interest in sectors that are considered to be of great future in the city.

The objective of this pilot plan is to create in Bilbao the first juvenile research center of the Basque Country, located in the Bidarte building, in the Municipal Center of the District of Deusto.

This research centre will be the first within the CAPV network of research centres to improve youth training and skills. The initiative, led by Elhuyar and promoted by the City of Bilbao, has had the collaboration of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia and the Basque Government, among other agents.

Pilot phase begins with workshops

Among the youngest will be launched a workshop of musical technology and a workshop of chemical experimentation, where textures, colors, flavors and smells of the candy will be created and manipulated. In the second group aimed at high school students an activity of design and construction of electronic inventions and a special workshop to solve a criminal mystery using microbiological and biotechnology research has been programmed.

Registration is already open and the first workshop will be held on 18 October.
