Elgoibar City Council will launch this initiative in October to support the promotion of the industrial sector of the municipality. In addition to promoting entrepreneurship and creativity among young people between 11 and 14 years old, BIZILABE has created, with the aim of betting on the creation of highly qualified professionals in the field of technology and technology, and has integrated into the network of youth research centers of Euskal Herria that Elhuyar is creating.

Elgoibar City Council has been working with young children in the municipality for more than 5 years. To do this he has launched technological workshops aimed at students, known as Robotics. Over the years, around 250 children have participated in these workshops carrying out programming projects, robotics, sensorica, assembly skills, etc. in a fun and playful way.

For the 2019-2020 academic year, the City Council wants to take a new step and as a novelty, will launch the space called BIZILABE, with the aim of promoting interest and motivation for science and technology, entrepreneurship and creativity, as well as the development of skills and the empowerment of students. Thus, young people between 11 and 14 years old will be able to participate in workshops and carry out projects within a physical space; in the Bajo Deba, in the areas STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics), in collaboration with women dedicated to research.

From 2 to 6 September, a monographic workshop will be held, which will briefly explain what BIZILABE will be, and the course program will begin from 4 October. On 28 September, the Bajo Deba meeting will be held in Elgoibar, where the 3rd edition of the Basque Country will be held. The main proposals of the Educational Robotics Championship and the projects carried out in the monographic workshop will be shown.
