When we talk about professional worlds, we talk about STEM professions, while when we talk about education in sectoral disciplines we talk about STEAM education.

XXI. STEAM is much more than a recipe to create technicians and engineers of the twentieth century: it serves to actively inspect reality with curiosity, wanting to investigate. STEM professions extend in more areas than expected. And in everyday life we also need the STEAM approach to make decisions and banish false beliefs and weeds that are so dangerous.

Faced with the great challenges of today's society, we need other STEM professionals to build a more sustainable world, to act with a critical view, to respond to the great challenges of society, to revive the local economy, industry, education... and to be our voice in the world of research.
