In both the socialization of science and scientific education, Elhuyar attaches great importance to the approach of science and technology to young people, making a special effort to do so, as well as to bring the whole Basque network of science, technology and innovation to young people.

One of the current areas of action of Bizkaia Talent as an association is the creation of a compact collaborative fabric with other entities and organizations of the environment that contribute to the development and achievement of its objectives.

Thus, the director general of the Elhuyar Foundation, Leire Cancio Orueta, and the managing director of Bizkaia Talent, Ivan Jimenez Aira, have signed a collaboration agreement between the Elhuyar Foundation and Bizkaia Talent.

Under this Agreement, Bizkaia Talent undertakes to bring a group of young participants to an action organized by the Mouvement International pour le Loisir Scientifique et Technique (MILSET). MILSET is a non-profit non-governmental organization that aims to develop scientific culture in young people through the organization of science and technology programs such as science fairs, scientific camps, congresses and other high quality activities.

In addition, as an entity specializing in talent management, it will offer young people participating in the Zientzia Azoka four places to participate in the Competence Program for Professionalism in Bizkaia.

In addition, UNESCO Etxea promotes transformative interaction between Basque society and the international community, providing its own opinions and criteria through research, impact, training, innovation and dissemination.

In this regard, the Director General of Elhuyar Fundazioa, Leire Cancio Orueta, and the Director of UNESCO Etxea, Arantzazu Acha, have signed a collaboration agreement between the Elhuyar Foundation and UNESCO Etxea.

Science Fair

Thanks to these agreements, Bizkaia Talent and UNESCO Etxea will collaborate in the initiatives and events prior to Zientzia Azoka, as well as in the fair itself to be held in Bilbao on 21 April 2018.

The Science Fair, promoted by the Elhuyar Foundation, aims to promote the scientific vocation of young people, promote scientific culture in society and create a tool to disseminate science as a strategic project. For the initiative to have sufficient scope, it is considered of great importance that all agents of the scientific and technological network of the Basque Country meet. In this sense, it should be noted that Bizkaia Talent and UNESCO Etxea join a wide network of universities, research centers, companies and other diverse collaborators.
