Elhuyar magazine has expanded its section “In Action” deepening the inclusive perspective
Now, in order to deepen the inclusive perspective, the journal has decided to expand the section to others. Thus, in the section “In action” will appear some researcher in a situation of exclusion without being a woman. Today the first has been published.The interviewee is Oier Lakuntza Irigoien. At age 6, Wolfram syndrome was diagnosed with a rare neurodegenerative disease. After completing the degree in Chemistry, being blind and deaf, he earned a doctorate in Theoretical and Computational Chemistry from the UPV. He then spent two years at the Catalan Institute of Chemical Research (ICIQ) and is currently a researcher at CIC Energigune. In the interview he tells how he has overcome the obstacles found in his career.
