Elhuyar presented “ZientziKIDE 2020: Towards a critical society”, with the aim of developing and promoting critical thinking. To carry out this initiative, different actions will be organized that reinforce citizen participation.

Today's society is immersed in a process of rapid and continuous change. To analyze the information we collect in this context it is necessary to develop critical thinking. Through it, everyone will build their own opinion or viewpoint on the basis of evidence to become an active agent of a democratic society. Supported by critical thinking, we develop defense mechanisms against partial and interested information, socially established interests, trends, consumerism, manipulation and indoctrination.

To develop critical thinking and express the importance of the development of critical thinking, until June 2021 the following actions will be carried out: a decalogue; the initiative “10 days CRITICAL THINKING”, through which advice will be disseminated on social networks; explanatory content of what is critical thinking, training sessions, conferences, online play, and the “Corner of critical thinking” for street actions. All contents related to these activities will be displayed in zientzia.eus/pentsaje-crítica and zientziakide.elhuyar.eus.

All initiatives developed in this project will be developed implicitly, strategically and indirectly from a gender and inclusion perspective. In addition, all face-to-face actions will establish measures to prevent covid-19.
