We live in a global and plural world where equality needs to be deepened. We are particularly concerned about the gender and technology gap. Therefore, on November 27, coinciding with the 165 anniversary of the death of Ada Byron, INSPIRA manifesto: The University of Deusto has presented girls and women in the field of science and technology.
This declaration is a commitment of individuals and entities that adhere to this declaration to work actively for the equality of women and men in the scientific-technological field through the following lines:
1. Reflect and review the false belief that there is equality. Knowing the data that shows that there is still no such equality and realizing that there is still a lot of work to be done.
2. Publicly acknowledge that women and men have the same capacities, rights and responsibilities and deserve the same recognition.
3. Publicize the consequences of this lack of equality and work for the need for positive initiatives to raise awareness of society and prevent inequality by fostering a responsible and diverse science and technology system.
4. Make visible the women scientific and technologists, historical and current, to recognize their work and create new references.
5. Turn around social stereotypes to demystify beliefs about gender roles and publicize the wide range of professions of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics).
6. Encouraging girls to create a social and educational environment in which they feel capable and recognized, allowing them to choose the future without limits.
7. Support women's empowerment by developing initiatives to achieve this at all levels.

In this act, institutions and people from different fields have read and publicly signed the manifesto.
