Through STEAM education there are many educators working to bring scientific culture to young people, but it is often not easy to imagine how to do it, and even more so if you want to work with science other values.

Elhuyar has organized for 23 and 24 October, in Eibar, a seminar for youth training teachers in STEAM projects.

In addition to the work of STEM education, the seminar aims to work on the integration of values education (ESD, coeducation, sustainability…) to carry out science and technology projects.

Different agents have met, both local and external, with the aim of sharing their own experiences and proposals, but also:

  • Inspiration and meeting of teachers:
    • Learn about the results of STEAM education research.
    • Encourage the meeting between teachers with experience in STEAM projects and without experience.
    • Share good practices.
    • Know different models.
    • Make the net and face it.
  • Other experiences:
    • How to combine the creation of values in STEAM projects: EDS, coeducation, sustainability…
    • Presentation of the initiative Elhuyar Zientzia Azoka, presentation of the keys of the route and coordination of the new course with the participating teachers.
    • Presentation of the results of the study carried out by the research group GROWM (Centre de Recerca per a l'Educació Científica i Matemàtica de la UAB) on the impact of Zientzia Azoka.

The seminar will be FREE but it is mandatory to register. More information on the registration form.
