Zientzia Azoka is one of Elhuyar's initiatives to promote scientific culture in society.
This initiative aims to promote among young people aged 12 to 18 years the development of scientific and technological capacities, to awaken vocations and to bring people in the sector. In this way, young people are offered the possibility of internally living scientific research and technological development in collaboration with professional researchers.
911 students from 33 centers are working on this project, most of them have visited the research centers of collaborating researchers and the result of all this will be exhibited at the fair to be held on April 21 in Bilbao (Plaza Nueva).
Collaboration Elhuyar / UEU:
The UEU develops an intense work of socialization of the work of young researchers (IkerGazte Congress, competition #txiotesia...) and, derived from them, maintains a close relationship with many young Basque researchers. In this sense, taking advantage of our network of relationships, the EU has joined the #science fair of Elhuyar.
As already indicated, students are working on different projects in collaboration with researchers, of which we have selected five. Our intention is to collect the work done by these working groups and spread it to society through the Unibertsitatea.net portal.
These five experiences will be broadcast through interviews from the Unibertsitatea.net news. The researchers and groups of students of the experiences we will receive are:
- The researcher Irati Rodrigo and the group "3 Sein 11" (La Salle, Bilbao).
- The researcher Irantzu Rico and the student group "Musikasi" (Unamuno Ikastola, Bilbao).
- Researcher Jon Alkorta and the group of students "Zabor sensor" (Ikastola Artxandape, Bilbao).
- Peio Iturri, researcher and student group "Bad Sound System" (Elorrio Institute, Elorrio).
- Researchers Naia Eguskiza and Irati de Pablo and the group of students "Hiruki zientzia" (Lauaxeta Ikastola, Amorebieta).
The experience will include the dialogue in different formats (text interviews, video-interviews…) between March and April. Thus, in the coming weeks it will give birth to one of the experiences. Also join #zientzia azoka.
