• The CAF-Elhuyar awards are already underway. Works may be submitted until 15 February 2018.
• Original articles of scientific dissemination, published scientific journalism papers and creation scholarship projects are supported
• Four prizes of €2,000 and a scholarship of €5,000 are awarded, including the special NEIKER prize for best work related to the primary sector.

The objectives of the award are the recognition and promotion of the social inclusion in Basque of topics and research in the field of science and technology. This year we want to invite the authors to jump into the water. Launch your idea, project or article to create waves that go far, expansive waves that alter the environment or thought. Until February 15!Prize categories are:

• Original outreach articles. It is divided into two subcategories: general outreach articles and outreach articles based on the author's doctoral thesis. The winner of each subcategory will receive a prize of 2,000 euros and a sculpture by Imanol Andonegi.
• Works of scientific journalism. Journalistic works of any format and genre created and published in Basque in 2017. It awards 2,000 euros and sculpture.
• Scholarship of creation in Science Society. This category supports projects that work on the interaction between science/technology and society. The author of the selected project receives a grant of 5,000 euros for its execution, as well as a sculpture.

In addition, this year will also be awarded the special NEIKER prize for the best article related to the primary sector, endowed with 2,000 euros and compatible with other prizes, that is, in the case that the best work of the primary sector is also the best of another category will receive both awards.All information is available in cafelhuyarsariak.elhuyar.eus and the works can be presented until February 15, 2018here.
