Today, Saturday, May 6, at 12 noon, the Elhuyar Science Fair began.
An official start was made with a tape cut by the representatives of the young people who participated in the fair, in which authorities and representatives such as Juan Mari Aburto Rique, Mayor of Bilbao, Maite Alonso Arana, Deputy Minister of the Department of Education of the Basque Government and Leire Cancio Orueta, General Director of the Elhuyar Foundation participated.

This year the Zientzia Azoka has been celebrated with a complete program. From 12 noon, young researchers from the Basque Country have exhibited in the Plaza Nueva the research and technological projects that have worked during the course to answer a challenge or a question. But at this year's fair there have also been novelties: space for the professional field and workshops in the center. Among them stands out the ‘Music Laboratory: Called ‘REC’, which has followed the award ceremony: Music laboratory: PLAY with Las Tea Party DJ’s.
The collaboration of the Science and Technology Network of the Basque Country has included the collaboration of researchers from Ikerbasque, the UPV/EHU, the Public University of Navarra, Mondragon Unibertsitatea, the Engineering Faculty of the University of Deusto and the Digips Institute of Technology.
