Elhuyar is at the forefront of language technologies, not only in the systems and applications it markets, but also in research. Proof of this is that this same week two researchers from Elhuyar have defended and overcome the aisa.

On July 10 Zuhaitz Beloki defended his thesis under the direction of Xabier Artola and Aitor Soroa: Integration in language processing. Annotation and interoperability schemes. Mass processing of texts using big data techniques.

Yesterday was the turn of Xabier Saralegi. Eneko Agirre and Iñaki Alegría have directed the work of Saralegi: CLIR Techniques for minority languages.

We therefore have two more doctors in the Elhuyar Language and Technology team. Previously we had three others: Eli Pociello, Antton Gurrutxaga and Igor Leturia.

We will continue researching language technologies and offering resources to Basque society.
