The PuntuEUS Foundation presented yesterday the results of its Observatory in the Martin Ugalde park in Andoain. The main task of the observatory is to analyze the presence and health of Basque on the Internet, both quantitatively and qualitatively. Summarizing the results, the following main conclusions can be drawn: 13% of the websites in the Basque Country use Basque and the websites with .EUS domain are the ones that use Basque the most.

The Observatory uses the technology developed by the Elhuyar R&D team to obtain some data. Thus, Elhuyar's linguistic technologies have automatically calculated the presence of languages on all Euskal Herria websites. In particular, the technology developed by Elhuyar R&D uses advanced techniques of mass web collection and linguistic detection.
