In 2017, more than 500,000 users performed more than 32 million queries in Elhuyar online dictionaries. Elhuyar dictionaries are one of the most widely used resources in Basque.

All these queries are done free of charge, but dictionary maintenance is not free. Elhuyar invests many resources to keep dictionaries as up-to-date as possible.

In 2017, 705 new entries have been added and 2,466 have already been modified, among other reasons:

- Adaptation to the new standards and criteria of Euskaltzaindia

- Respond to new terminological needs arising

- Response to comments and user proposals

- Adaptation of discriminatory lexicon

In 2018 we need 68,370 euros to keep .elhuyar.eus dictionaries up to date. Our paper dictionaries have dropped by 60% in recent years, and the public subsidies and contributions of the partners we currently have are not enough to get the amount we need. We need more partners.

If you partner with Elhuyar, you can help us improve our dictionaries and provide more resources to society. They are only 65 euros per year. In addition, this contribution is a donation, so when making the declaration of the Income Tax for Individuals, you will receive 30% of it.
