With the aim of expanding terminology in Basque in the field of railway, the exhibition "ENtu euskara" was made available to the stations of Bizkaia.

The exhibition panels have been prepared from the information of the online dictionary Trengintza Hiztegia, to show the public the words in Basque of the railway sector and encourage them to use them.

The railway sector is alive, a constant source of new terms. Therefore, it was necessary to have a tool to quickly consult and update all these words. With this objective the railway dictionary was created, published exclusively online, which collected the vocabulary associated with this area of action and that, through a single click, was made available to society in a simple way. This is an open project, whose information will be useful not only in the railway field, but also in other areas such as translation, journalism or education. It currently has 5,200 terms and 100 images, and the intention is to add concepts, images or languages every year.

The dictionary is the result of a work carried out by the Transport Consortium of Bizkaia, Metro Bilbao, Euskotren, Euskal Trenbide Sarea and CAF, and with the advice of the Language and Technology unit of Elhuyar.

The exhibition features several words in Basque and Spanish, along with a photo. In June it will be visible at Abando station, in July it will move to Sestao and in August it will be seen in Basauri.
