The first spell checker in Basque was created in Xuxe for two decades. This system, created in collaboration between linguists and computer engineers, was a revolution for those of us who write texts in Basque by computer.

Since its birth in Xuxe, several versions of it have been incorporated into the network, and in addition to detecting spelling errors, Xuxen has learned to make grammatical proposals.

We have made a new leap. The Ixa and Elhuyar Group have put on the Xuxen 5 network to download it for free.

News related to language:

- The spellchecker database has been renewed, taking into account the latest changes in the dictionaries of Hiztegi Batua and Elhuyar.

- Make proposals according to the preferences of the Unified Dictionary.

- We have renewed the grammatical rules to make updated grammatical proposals.

Technical news:

Xuxen 5 is ready to use Microsoft Office in the latest ones (up to Office 2013). Therefore, if you download it to our computer, we can take advantage of all the fixes and language proposals mentioned when we are writing a text in Word, for example.

In addition, integration plugins have been renewed on all systems to make updated spelling corrections:

And, of course, we have also renewed the data in xuxen.eus, so that when we enter a text we want to correct it can make corrections and proposals updated.
