The dictionary prepared by the Consortium of Transport of Bizkaia, CAF, Metro Bilbao, Euskotren and Euskal Trenbide Sarea in 2016 has been renewed

The Trengintza Dictionary gathers already 5,200 concepts and 100 images in four texts (eu, es, fr, en), on the Internet (www.trenhiztegia.eus), with the collaboration initiated in 2016 by companies in the railway sector with Elhuyar.

The Consortium of Transport of Bizkaia, CAF, Metro Bilbao, Euskotren and Euskal Trenbide Sarea, advised by terminological experts from Elhuyar, advances and successfully evolves the journey undertaken last year to complete the railway dictionary. Created in 2016 with 4,830 concepts of sectoral terminology and published online, in 2017 500 concepts have been added to the four-language dictionary. In addition, 100 images have been included. The intention of the five institutions is to continue in this project, contributing something every year, concepts, images and languages. They want to foster their relationship and collaboration and explore ways for the growth and harvest of this work to extend not only to other areas but also to other sectors of activity.
